The breeze was flowing through the day in the city as a human by the name of Katara was walking by.  Katara was a young water type trainer in Cerulean City.  She is wearing a necklace with a water stone that came from her mom...before she disappeared.

She also has a blue shirt with a bunch of water types on her back.  She also has blue shorts and blue sneakers.  She was aspired to be a water type trainer like the gym leader Misty.

One day, when no one was looking, she went to the Cerulean cave.  She was all alone and was without her pokémon.  It wasn’t like it wasn’t normal for her, though.  She usually came here when she was a kid and all the pokémon were nice.  When she got there, though, she saw a vaporeon.  She could tell it was very elderly, though.

The Vaporeon motioned for Katara to follow her before running off.  She followed the vaporeon, skipping on the stones in the river.  She was surprised about this path as she has never seen it before.

Eventually, she saw Vaporeon vanish into a cave and she went in.  What she saw surprised her. The cave had a huge lake, which also had three waterfalls with water pouring from them into the lake.  There was a path that led to a spot in the middle of the lake.  As she walked to that spot, she looked around to see where the vaporeon went.  She was confused when she didn’t find the vaporeon.

When she came upon the spot in the middle of the lake, she saw a stone with a glass of water on it.  She looked at the glass and saw that it had a tag that said [DRINK ME.]

She sighed.  “Why do I have a feeling that something is going to happen like in Alice in Wonderland if I drink this?” she muttered.  She felt very thirsty, though.  She sighed, “Might as well drink this since I’m already this far in the rabbit’s hole.” she said.

She drank all the water.  It was very delicious.  It was the best thing she ever tasted.  “Wow, this is really good.  I wonder where it came from?” she said out loud.   That was then the water stone glowed and pain shot through her body.  She doubled over in pain, keeping herself up with her hands.  She tried to scream, but no voice was able to come out.

Her body turned to a light blue and her feet turned and changed from five toes to three.  her hands turned into legs and her five fingers became the same three toes of her hind feet.  On each foot, formed dark blue paw pads.  A white ruff formed, coming out of her neck.  A tail with a split tailfin at the end grew from the backbone of her spine and a ridge formed on her back, from her neck to her tailfin.  Her ears then turned into fins with cream colored webbing and a third fin grew on the top of her head.  Her hair shrunk until there was none, and it formed the dark blue on top of her head, as well as the top of the three fins on her head.  Her eyes then changed into black eyes with white pupils.

When the transformation was done, she tried to get up like normal, only to find that she couldn’t.  “Ugh, why can’t I get up.  Wait... why does my voice sound different?”  She then crawled to the lake and saw her reflection.  “OH MY GOD, I’M A VAPOREON!” she yelled.

“Yes my child, you are.” a feminine voice said.  Katara tried to get up by using all four of her legs time and did.  She turned to see the vaporeon that led her here, but this time she could see that it was a ghostly silhouette.

“W-Who are you?” she asked, scared.

“Don’t you recognize me?   Or at least my voice?” the vaporeon said.

Katara’s eyes widened in realization.  “Mom?” she asked, tears formed in her eyes.

The vaporeon smiled “Yes Katara, it is your mother.”

“What happened to you?” she asked.

“The same that happened to you sweetie.” her mother replied, smiling sadly. “Unfortunately I was soon killed after I was transformed, trying to protect a sacred gem.  The one you hold now.”

Katara then looked back at her reflection to see that her necklace was now a collar and that the water stone was attached to it.  She raised a paw to the stone.  “I don’t get it, isn’t it just a regular water stone?” she asked, looking back at her mother.

Her mother shook her head, “No, it isn’t you see that gem has the power to turn people into water type pokémon when they drink from the water of this sacred lake.  I don’t have much time Katara, be careful people will know that you have the gem because of your large size as a vaporeon.  I love you sweetie.  Be safe.”  Those were her last words before she faded from existence.

Katara then cried, tears flowing from her eyes.  “Don’t worry mom.  I promise I’ll be safe.” she said.  She then left the cave, hoping to not attract any attention... and jumped into the river outside.

She lived the rest of her life protecting the gem, that was not only sacred, but also the one that her own mother gave her.
Okay, so this was supposed to be part of a collab with jaybirdy07 :iconjaybirdy07:

However, the collab has been killed off due to the fact that almost everyone forgot about it.  So Jay allowed me to upload my bit as a regular story.

Hope you guys enjoy.  This was my first TF story.
